Viktor & Rolf's Fall 2024 Couture Runway, aptly titled "Haute Abstraction," is a bold exploration of redefining the human form through sharp and unconventional lines. This collection takes shapewear to a literal level, employing geometric shapes to morph and reimagine the body. The runway featured striking triangular necklines, circular skirts, spherical bodices, and ultra-structured boxy blazers, each piece challenging traditional silhouettes and showcasing the designers' avant-garde vision.
Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren infused the collection with a playful and vibrant use of prints and patterns. Colorful polka dots, plaids, and florals dominated the pieces, often accented with whimsical ruffled collars, polka dot tights, and an abundance of bows. These playful details added a layer of charm and eccentricity to the otherwise structured and abstract designs.
